ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The work is the result of a two-dimensional transposition of the sculptures made in layers. The result was a composition made of shaped wooden slats between the cracks of which emerges the blue pigment paint that serves as a base. The alternation of wood/ color marks a rhythm from which the title comes. The support on which the work is made is a wooden door of a period piece of furniture.

Painter, sculptor and photographer, Matteo Cecchinato was born in 1975 in Padua. After his classical studies he attended the Faculty of Engineering in Padua and at the same time cultivated an interest in painting, graphics and photography. The use of matter painting progressively shift his research towards the third dimension, through the use of increasingly sculptural worked surfaces. He has collaborated with several Italian art galleries and participated in several collective and personal exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad.
