ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the first of a collection of paintings inspired by the artist Isabelle Beaubien. I very much liked her explanation of how she produces her paintings, in particular the idea that the work is created by one singular action. My interpretation of this was to create an under painting in dark and light blue, then to cover with contrasting final layer. In places the pink and red seems to hover above the blues, giving it an almost 3D effect. This work is oil on board If purchased in the UK, the painting will be delivered in person by the artist
