Painting: Watercolor, Ink, Monotype on Paper.
The work of Elvezia Cavagna, following the road of research and experimentation,
is even more markedly introspective in her works performed with a particular technique.
The artist-woman investigates these works without resorting to self-portrait,
and makes of other visages masks or splendid icons incorporated,
expressions that she describes enclosed in a frame from which they try to escape.
The women of Elvezia are spokespersons of deeply modern emotional states, of existential reflections,
ever-present thoughts that are up to the observers to grasp and interpret ...
The face becomes a place of search of interiority in the exteriority,
a place where expression is the key word that allows access for understanding the work.
