BIOGRAPHY: Michelle Thomas shares her passion for the nude form in a painting style that is highly informed by her background in photography and graphic design. CRAFTSMANSHIP: The inception of Michelle Thomas' work begins in her apartment studio or in nature. She always starts with a concept, then works with her partner Keaton to take photographs of herself or others. The photos in themselves are beautiful works of art, and she had garnered over 86k followers from her photographic images on Instagram. She then uses one or more images to creates a composition in photoshop that she then draws to a canvas. INFLUENCES: Michelle's work is influenced by yoga, nature, and the strength of the nude human form. She has transformed her mind and body through movement, which has given her the confidence to express herself freely. She grew up n a small town on a farm where she spent many hours hiking and scouting for plants and fossils. MEDIUM: Michelle uses high-quality medium acrylic paint. The canvas is raw and painted with a primer. Along with each painting comes a performance art downloadable video of the artist creating her work while in the nude.
