William Vogelsberger award winning artist:- Born in Prestatyn Wales on the 16th Jan 1944. Was first introduced to art at Hamilton Secondary School, Birkenhead. England. This ia where I was introduced to oil painting at the age of 14. my very first painting was of a oak tree I thought was marvelous. Moved with family to Australia in 1959. and worked in many different occupations up to my retirement. Studied under Wendy Rees (Harrison Niece of Lloyd Rees of Heidelberg fame in Melbourne Australia) at Mitchum Art Soc ( Now Whitehorse Art Soc) where I mixed with many other artists. Mainly self-taught . Now I am retired I can now just paint for the love of it. Most of all I love using different mediums . The sheer enjoyment of the variety of feeling in water, Pastel, Oil pastel and oils adds spice and variety to my art
