ABOUT THE ARTWORK
There are many old family farms located on the hills and meadows between the villages of Cavan and Ida, Ontario. This original oil on primed artist board depicts such a farm after the 2nd hay cut of the season. The hazy sky, burnished browns and the pale greens of summer are captured in this work. There are close-up photos to show the loose yet deliberate brushwork and an example of how this painting would look framed. (Rolling Fields is sold unframed).
