ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My garden is full of roses in the summer months which gave rise to this picture. I did not copy a particular arrangement but stood in front of my canvas with a large pallet and let my hand and mind run free. I have used a little pen line here and there for effect. Painted onto a standard stretched canvas with a hanger fitted to the reverse of the top stretcher bar. All the edges are painted black so that you can display it on unpacking it or frame later as you wish.

I was born into a family of practicing artists with the smell of paint and pencils wafting through the house. I was trained as a carpet designer, attending art college for three years part time while being mentored by an experienced designer in the studio of the company I was apprenticed to. The basic training was that of any fine artist and I have always painted. Most of my paintings are based on sketches and photographs that I have made of people, places and things. I have sold paintings through out the UK, USA and Saudi Arabia. I have exhibited at the Birmingham Open, Harris Brush Works and The Malvern Theatres in England. I hope you like my paintings.
