Today, it is a popular tourist destination known for its amazing architecture. Most of the homes are whitewashed or lime-washed using light tints from the volcanic ash to reflect the rays of the sun. Those amazing white hillside structures also have blue roofs and doors to represent the colors on the nation’s flag. In my opinion, such places just make us feel more alive – they give us a view beyond the ordinary – and remind us that life is best lived when we are filled with passion.
