Abstractionism is my form of painting, and I have studied many methods and elements of art and architecture on a university level. However, the majority of my techniques and applications are self-taught through years of experimenting with shapes and colors in open space. My painting is a non-figurative action that is based on the suspension and chaotic motion of the line. I paint harmonious disorders of line segments, that push across faded and solid color schemes, over substrates of wood and paper. Attention is given to technique and action, and less emphasis is placed on concept and imagery. The idea is that there is no idea, and that perfection is in the unintentional painting of shapes, lines and colors. Principles of Abstractionism, Geometricism, Graffuturism , Lyrical Abstraction, and Deconstructivism are closely related to my artistic expression.
