If someone asks me to talk about when I started painting or drawing, I really can't answer. I remember that art, drawing, and visual communication have always been part of my life. Then I linked this passion to my studies, first by attending the Institute of Art in Naples and then at the IED European Institute of Design in Rome. Here I became an illustrator, then I worked for the major European advertising agencies, mainly using acrylic colours on canvas, always maintaining my pictorial vein even if at the service of advertising. Since 1997 I have started to devote myself to digital in its many forms: illustrations, photo editing, 3D images and animations. I have been the creative director and digital artist of Olivastudio before and currently of Pixelheads Studio, professor of digital animation at NABA New Academy of Fine Arts. I have felt the need to get my hands dirty again with colours, touch what I create, feel its smell. That's why I started painting again. I've always loved portraits. I love to represent the soul in addition to the physical features. Or be able to describe people who are no longer here with us. It greatly gratifies me to see who loved that person in life, crying recognizing him. It almost seems to me to fulfil a small mission. Art makes the world a better place.
