SOLD - Hospitality & Warmth: The Pinapple Painting

The pineapple has served as both a food and a symbol throughout human history. A guest invited to a party where a pineapple fruit or symbol was displayed knew they were guaranteed enjoyment and warm, friendly hospitality. Columbus discovered the pineapple on his trip to Guadalupe and took it back to Europe where it became a symbol of wealth to the royalty. Honored and distinguished guests were gifted the extremely fashionable and expensive succulent pineapple. Therefore, the pineapple has become a universal symbol of hospitality and welcome all over the world. This is the second recently painted pineapple painting I just completed which is a bit larger than the other pineapple painting that is on this site. I have sold many other pineapple paintings in the past and find painting pineapples give me a warm, healthy feeling during its process and completion. I hope someone will find the warmth I tried to convey in this pineapple painting.
