ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This original serene oil painting features a barn owl sounded by a morning fog. The owl sits on an old fence post, it's gaze is directed towards something in the distance. It's painted with slightly impressionist brush strokes of soft whites and hints of a warm brown-grays. It's wing markings typically seen on barn owls are painted with pops of a warm clay and dark brown. The background is a smooth wispy gradient of dark chocolate to a soft white. The fog sounding the owl gives the piece endless feeling and allows the viewer to get lost almost as if in a daydream. The overall mood of the piece is relaxed and serene.
