SUBCONSCIOUS MOON Painting

The concept of human consciousness, and its potential influence, is one that fascinates me. The theorized notion that we can focus our conscious mind to raise the frequency of our vibrational energy and manipulate the physical world around us, is mind-blowing. The full moon is said to have a significant impact on our consciousness, emanating a frequency that allows us to tap into the power of our subconscious and all the connected wisdom held there. The esoteric qualities of the moon are what I have attempted to capture with this piece. You will see there is a subtle frequency bar running across the diameter of the circle, reflecting the vibration, but also coincidentally splitting the artwork into areas of light and dark, giving it the appearance of an orbiting moon half in shadow. This artwork was shortlisted for the Pebeo Mixed Media Art Prize 2018 and was exhibited at the Menier Gallery, London, in June 2018. The artwork comes felted on the reverse and ready to hang with D-rings. SPECIFICATION: 16" Diameter x 0.5" Depth on wooden substrate.
