SUMMER STROLL (triptych) Painting

I was born and raised in the former Czechoslovakia, current Slovak Republic. I live in the United States, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My abstract paintings are created using a self-developed layering method. I apply acrylic paints using a variety of palette knives, brushes, and drip technique to the horizontal surfaces. I access the painting surface from different angles and sometimes paint multiple surfaces at the same time - ‘building’ my painting until I feel the sense of visual balance and harmony between the color, texture, and form. Each of my paintings incorporates creative and logical elements as the two main layers. The bottom layer, usually multicolored, represents the daily events, activities, interactions, while the top three lines introduce structure, provide integrity, and bring balance into the unit as a whole. These two layers represent the interface between letting go and maintaining sense of order.
