About The Artwork
Prometheus was one of the Titans. The name derives from the Greek word meaning 'forethought'. Prometheus was presented to be the protector and benefactor of mankind. Zeus decided to hide fire from mortals as punishment. Prometheus, in an effort to help humanity, managed to steal fire back and give it to humans. More enraged, the father of gods punished Prometheus by having him chained to a rock, where an eagle ate his liver during the day, and the liver was regenerated during the night due to Prometheus' immortality.

I was born in Baku, Azerbaijan on May 22, 1968. I am graduated from the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction and I've worked in the creative industries - mainly, desktop design, photography and publishing. For the last 12 years I've been working as an art-director for local magazines. I used to paint since I have been young. I'm working with various techniques from oil/acrylic painting, graphics to digital media. The expression of mood or intent can arise through not just colour but texture, lines, curves or... enigma. I see art and philosophy as two aspects of the same essence. Art operates within form. Philosophy - within message.
