About The Artwork

Acrylic ink, mineral pigment paint on museum board and on canvas. 120 cm x 160 cm. Door in the fishing village of Sai Kung. Chinese character 'fu' means good fortune and happiness and is usually hung upside down during the Spring Festival. Depending on which legend you believe, it is to either keep the Goddess of Poverty away or to bring wealth.
