Samba is inspired by the orange and red tones of the sunset as the dark of night sets in. The use of shape and different tones create a statement piece where you can notice a different detail each time you look at the painting. The warm tones are intended to create a calm, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a dining room or lounge room setting. Oil was chosen as the medium as the depth and richness of colour adds dimension and lustre to the painting otherwise not generally achieved by acrylic paints.
