Scream Painting

My name is Nastia Golub. Human emotions, states, and actions inspire me. I work in mixed media, and my choice of materials depends on what I perceive and how I wish to convey it. What captivates me is the use of form to analyse themes and narratives. It involves the person within the circumstances of history and personal experience. Sometimes, this entails searching for a story in literature, at other times in documentary shots and photographs of people, and occasionally, it emerges from my sense of life and the events within it. For many years, visual art has profoundly influenced me and continues to shape my creative vision: theatre, literature, dance, music, cinema, photography, and photography. I am drawn to the idea that everything—knowledge and the full spectrum of emotions—exists within every person. Within paper, canvas, or stone, there is already a form, an image, and meaning waiting to be discovered and brought to light.
