Svitlana Pryhodko is a Ukrainian born fine art artist and has been living in Mississauga, Canada since 2000. Painting has always been her passion ever since she was a child. She can remember how greatly she was fascinated by the beauty of surrounding nature in her early childhood. Her soul was deeply moved and overwhelmed by the vivid and lush scenery of surrounding nature. Even now, the stunning scenes of Ontario's autumn splendour and the artistry of their creators are truly inspiring her as examples of purity, mystery and artistic excellence for creating colourful art on canvas. Svitlana has been painting on a full time basis since 2002 and has had many successes in that period, including numerous art shows as well as commissions both in Canada and in the United States. Art school in Kyiv, Ukraine, with the traditional academic approach to classical painting, and numerous art classes in Toronto have helped her to sharpen her unique approach to creating an incredible interpretation of abstract imagery based on strong scientific rules of colour harmony. She uses her unique technique as a powerful tool for self-expression, which encourages viewers to find their own meaning and interpretation in her works. Svitlana’s favourite subject to paint is a dreamy colorful landscape in a bold impasto technique in oil mediums, which gives plenty room for imagination. Svitlana also completed 3 years Diploma program in Computer Science at Centennial College, Toronto, which helped her to be on the edge of modern technology.
