Image taken from one of my abstracted (films = "The Sea") which this painting and like most of my paintings have been deconstructed over months of building up layers of paint, paste and anything I can lay my hands on, and then scraped back to leave ghost like marks.

I'm a contemporary Painter, Sound & Moving image artist. I am currently running a studio with another Painter we supply art studios spaces, we currently have 6 artists in the studio. We are based at "Digby Studios" in Ilkeston Derbyshire. I'm fascinated with our textured landscape. The concepts arrive from the natural world in Super 8mm film then transfer it over to Digital, I completely edit the work into abstraction, and once I'm satisfied this then is my starting point for the paintings.
