This is a nihonga traditional Japanese style painting with gold leaf arrange in some sections. The color used are represent minimal beauty of tranquility. Indigo and gofun white and patina pigments are peeking thru between the crack of the gold colored leaves. It is a very modern simple design to bring a focal point to your room. Hand skimmed paper wrapped on a sturdily build birch panel. Wired for hanging. If you wish, you can cut out the original paper to frame.

My heart for art was fostered from my home country. After I spent enough time in the South Eastern US and experimented with a large variety of colors and materials as a visual artist, I wanted to revisit my original heritage. The Japanese mineral painting method is a complex technique. You start by making your own balance of deer glue, mixed with your choice of organic and mineral pigments. Japanese hand skimmed papers are then prepared for painting. These materials all come from our mother earth, and I have a profound appreciation for them. I am here now, because I feel that this meticulous process is important, interesting, and serves to inspire within me the true essence of art.
