Monte Corona just outside Umbertide in Italy is a mountain potted with monasteries, Abbey, hermitages and the magical, medieval walled village. The slopes are criss-crossed with paths, trails and white roads that are all cloaked in luscious canopy of oak, beech and pine trees.

Studied a degree in glass design at Stourbridge College of Art in the 1980s and for a number of years ran a stained glass studio in South Wales. After a period working in the rat race I decided that life would be more fun if I sold up, moved to Italy and started painting. So for the last six years I have been painting and writing in Umbria, in a village just north of Assisi. The surrounding countryside and renowned artists of the area have acted as a constant source of inspiration for my works.
