A Description of Works Emptiness in the works Self-Entertaining By Self-Mockery • Emptiness is a word which occurs frequently in classical Chinese poems. It is often used for the expression of emotions in poems and the creation of artistic conception. I feel that I create a kind of ethereal artistic conception or a fairy tale world-like artistic conception. I have particular feelings about the artistic conceptions of remoteness, haziness and solitude. Despite living in this bustling world, my heart can travel in the dreamland I create in my works. Thereupon, there is more quietness and fewer bustles in my works. With the characters and birds in previous works abandoned, the picture is left more room for imagination, producing an interaction with audiences. Unrealistic empty space and solitary things are the elements which constitute the picture.
