ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is painted with acrylic and aquarelle on paper made with Himalayan vegetable fibers. It is not framed and it ships inside a cardboard folder and a box. Shadows gives name to a project that observes what experience leaves in the body and remains there while it participates in building our identities through time and from a hidden place. I put my attention on the trace that is left in the body but appears as ineffable to perception, close to the trace that reason gets to perceive and understand. Shadows is created where the discourse that holds the experience has a hole. In this project, I work on the elaboration of body images where I explore the possibility of representing subjectivity in response to these ideas and the experience that originates them.

Throughout my creative process I explore possible ways of representing human corporeality, I focus on the experience that arises from the interaction and dialog between the body and the space. I work with different art languages and I use various spatial and cultural frameworks in order to built reflections that tackle the matter from different points of view. I am interested in the creative process as a means to trigger and understand perceptual experiences that I use to add sense and definition to the corporeal phenomenon.
