Shame belongs to the project "Chains, pensy and regrets that, through the posing of dichotomies, reflects on the perception of certain existential issues, projected from the unconscious, personal and collective, to the outside, in search of transcendence. It proposes a series of paintings that respond to the representation of dualities, the `sorrows: brilliance-darkness, naked-covered, dignity-shame, fragility-strength, light-weight, spirit-matter, lightness-gravidez, triviality-importance, surrender-overcoming. plays with language and logic, through the multiple meanings of unspoken words: weight, serious, weak, light, thin, important, insignificant, transcendent, ethereal, corporeal, and the construction, with these, of statements that can be assumed as false or true and even chained up to obtaining conclusions that condemn or satisfy. From the pictorial process, he imitates the antagonism between the more abstract backgrounds with planes of female figures that suggest realism. The same opposition uses in the choice of colors (dark-bright). Each painting patents dilemmas, oppositions focused on our values, beliefs and conceptions, while they unite them. Therefore they invite a reflection on the elements that we have in mind to take one or another position and even suggest a closer reading to the Ying-Yang philosophy, in which the opposites are needed and complement each other to exist. Specifically, Vergüenza, addresses the concepts: Covered-Discovered, Pudor-Descaro, Exposed-Hidden and raises questions such as. Where do we have the sense of shame? When do we feel naked? What do we cover by embarrassing ourselves? Are we ashamed as humans regardless of our gender? It is in this game of styles, colors, words, concepts and contradictions that the work exposes and projects questions that seek to break chains to transcend.
