Shattered Window Painting

When your tough outer shell is shattered leaving you feeling exposed, however, the beautiful world of the inner shell can finally be seen..... This painting is symbolic of the way that I felt after exposing a horrible secret I had kept for years out of a deep-seated fear invoked by another individual during childhood. After I met the man of my dreams, he encouraged me to face my demons and I realized that it was not my burden to be holding any longer. I felt completely shattered and exposed after opening up starting to heal past wounds. Much like a shattered window with random pieces everywhere. The anxiety and sadness finally dissipate into a realization that the world is actually a beautiful place after all, which can be seen through a small portion on the bottom left of the painting. It is the one piece of absent glass from the abstract window that shows inside my world currently. Represented by a violet oasis streaming steadily calm finally :)
