ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired after my late aunts favorite mare. It is painted on a hand stretched canvas of a mare my aunt owned. A freakish tale really. Her Son would tell her to never to sell the mare because "she had heart''. She was a beauty. A spirited horse. But she also had a wicked temper. Unpredictable. But the same could also be said of my aunt who lost her life to it when it reached out and tore her carotid artery.
