ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My painting was inspired by a photograph by Racml I love ships. shipwrecks seascapes anyplace where water and land meet. I find shipwrecks interesting due to their color texture and how the vessel is positioned in the landscape. Also, I wonder how the ship ended up where it is now. The story I see in my mind as I paint the subject where it has settled. I try to express in the way I apply the paint colors the textures of metal as well as how light and shadow play upon it in the environment.
