Shopping Asylum Painting

look closely to see the images of people in amongst the paint effects. My daughter inspired this work after visiting her in psychiatric hospital and not being able to tell the difference between workers and patients.....and seeing the similarities of a shopping mall too....thats why I called it shopping asylum. I hope it will cause people to think about society to day and how people in psychiatric hospital are just ordinary people who are having a life crisis..similar to a shopping mall experience. I always work in acrylics because they dry quickly and can be worked over and over to get the finish im looking for. This piece was painted very quickly with the intention of putting together different colours and then later in the painted effects I could see faces which then turned into figures and reminded me of my experience in the corriadors and waiting rooms in the psychiatric hospitals. Hanging materials are fixed to the back of the wooden frame in the form of fixtures and a string.Ready to hang.
