Fluid abstract paintings are the result of an unpredictable combination of my vision for the painting, acrylic paints mixed down in different solutions, and a little luck as the paint continues to blend and move throughout the drying process. The initial creation process is quick and the pouring happens in a matter of 20 minutes. The next steps are what takes time: the paint is manipulated while it’s wet to create the desired vision of movement and motion. Next, the drying process takes 24 – 48 hours where the paint continues to move and blend – meaning that when I walk into the studio the next day, sometimes I walk into a completely different painting than what I left the day before. Sometimes the results are less than ideal. Sometimes the results are magnificent. Finally, I finish each piece by painting in tiny guidelines to help guide a viewer’s eye around the complexities of each part of the piece.

"Show Me the Way" is an original fluid abstract acrylic painting measuring 30 x 40 x 0.75 inches, painted using professional grade acrylic paint and stretched over a hand crafted wood frame.

The painting is sealed with a final coat of high gloss varnish for protection, giving the piece a glassy composition.

All sides are staple free, painted, and finished making it ready to hang.

A brief biography: Meredith B. is a self-taught oil and acrylic painter who currently calls Indianapolis, Indiana home. While she was a casually artistic person her entire life, it wasn’t until 2015 that art became a more active pursuit. After facing the life changing diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis and a chemotherapy treatment that would last indefinitely, painting was like a long-lost friend that Meredith found strength and comfort in. Now, with her disease under control, Meredith finds inspiration in every beautiful aspect of her life: loved ones, music, fellow artists she admires, and the cities she has experienced through traveling. Her work will consistently play on elements of motion and texture to invoke an emotional response from viewers. Her styles range from impressionist, modern and abstract with a special talent for commissioned work unique to individual needs.
“My hope is not be seen, but be experienced. With each new piece I share a little part of myself and I look forward to the day it makes an honest, emotional connection with another.” -Meredith B.
