I am interested in all the opposing elements: "the masculine principle and the feminine principle," "order and chaos," "light and shadow," "belief and blind spot," "right brain and left brain," "the West and the East," "the past and the future," and "the inner and the outer." This series began with the idea of a being, like an angel or perhaps an extraterrestrial, wearing ribbon-shaped glasses. The two eyes divide the world into right and left, while simultaneously serving as organs that integrate them. Perhaps humans were born with the role of unifying these two elements into one. And I imagine that this integration goes beyond the common understanding of the Earth.

For me, art is about embodying beliefs while at the same time shedding light on the 'blind spots (shadows)' behind those beliefs. I need to look at everything that shapes my beliefs. Some beliefs contain biased information due to social conventions, education, and sometimes even brainwashing. What I thought was light can also be darkness if I change my perspective. The challenge is how to make the two coexist."
