I draw upon heart-felt memories and ordinary moments, seeking to make art that reflects a sense of peace, balance, and beauty. Nature is a favorite source of inspiration for me, and my yoga practice helps me cultivate peace. This feeling has become a core foundation for my work. Working primarily in contemporary abstraction, I develop compositions through a process of layering acrylic and charcoal. Each painting unfolds as a negotiation between spontaneity and intention: intuitive gestures establish an initial field, which is subsequently refined through deliberate compositional decisions. I am particularly attentive to the interplay of chromatic contrast, spatial tension, and material texture, allowing subtle frictions to generate visual depth and resonance. The result is art that exudes an energetic tranquility, inviting viewers to experience a sense of relaxed spaciousness. My artistic practice originated in early childhood, painting alongside my grandmother at her kitchen table. What began as intimate, domestic acts of making evolved into a sustained and disciplined engagement with visual expression. Ultimately, my paintings seek to create a contemplative encounter. By inviting viewers into a slowed perceptual experience—akin to the rhythm of a sustained breath—the work offers a momentary suspension of urgency and a space for quiet reflection within the accelerated conditions of contemporary life.
