Sitting, Waiting, Wishing Painting

The gesso panel was prepared by hand 'old fashion style' with the layering of gesso and then sanding back. I've then applied oil paint to enhance further texture before glazing to pick up details in the mark making and painting of the piece. I've title my works after music listened to in the studio, that in turn relates to the artwork produced and perhaps reflects how I felt at the time of making. Water. landscapes and voyeurism re-occur as themes in my abstracts and I believe these recent ones have been influenced with my time spent in Spain.
