ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The inspiration comes from the early paintings the romanticized picture of a war long ago. It´s nothing I paint everyday so it felt exiting to make one. My thought about it was not to glorify war but to hold it up in the light the horrors that we people do to each other for many differens reasons. The base is acrylic that makes the oilpaint shine with other shades. I made the clouds with strong colors to high light the dramatic feeling it most have been to be there. It is my attempt to capture an early warfare. Today it got no frame but it has hanging hardware already. Authenticity included.
