Slightishly Painting

My artistic process often involves secret collaborations with my job as a photo retoucher; such as stock piling digital blemishes to construct new portraits or using a computer program to create drawings based on my hand movements while editing an image. The materials for my recent paintings come from the imperfections in skin and color adjustments applied to figures in digital photographs. Titles such as "No cookie cutter" are taken from absurd client comments regarding adjustments to produce a ‘better’ image. My works exist as pigmented prints on silk and other fabrics stretched over canvas or draped over wire structures.
