Sluicing (SOLD) Painting

A layered and textured abstract composition. I usually realize works where the energy of colour, the texture, and the partitioning are essential and I like to bring out the colours below the top layer as I have done with this painting and many other art pieces. Some details are hard to pick up with photographs – such as those particular spots that give the painting a rough and slightly weathered look. The scratches are done with a fork and a serrated spatula. Please note that lighting will make a difference in the mood and feel of the painting.
