Mikhail is a young artist with autism. He was born in Russia (Astrakhan) on February, 7th, 2006. Misha can hardly speak and he does not understand spoken language well. The passion for drawing began in 2019 with several art therapy lessons. After that, his mother began to help Misha to learn drawing at home. They tried different materials and techniques, watched online drawing lessons. And they did it! Misha started painting! Acrylic, canvas, and palette knives became the favorite tools of the young man. After six months, he collected enough artworks for a whole personal exhibition and then for two more. All paintings have been sold! Misha’s popularity grew when he got an account on social networks, where his mother uploads photos and videos of his creative work. A loving family (mom, dad, and sister) is the at the heart of his success. Painting for Misha is a way to express his feelings and emotions because he hardly speaks. It can also become his way to earn for living. This is especially important as people with mental disorders in Russia are doomed to poverty and loneliness. And Misha despite the difficulties, has a chance to succeed and communicate. He created over 200 pieces of art and he is not going to stop. His artworks are found in many private collections around the world.
