The theme that runs through the series of these works is inspiration, emotions that an artist or creator receives under certain circumstances. Inspiration is like a flash, an unknown feeling that every person experiences, for everyone it is different. For some, inspiration is a flash of feelings and emotions, for others, it is calmness spreading throughout the body. I wanted to show the viewer what different emotions a creator can experience when meeting inspiration. The series is written in shades of blue, because most often there is a slight decline before a surge of inspiration, calmness, sometimes even despondency, and feel blue. I can confidently attribute style of this artworks to modern painting, I try to bring to my works the focus on color forms, as in the works of Paul Jackson, Willem de Kooning, and Mark Rothko. This artwork: 30x30 cm, depth 1 cm. Acrylic on pressed wood, covered resin. Glossy surface. Unframed, painted on sides.

Self-knowledge is what my art gives me. I've learned to enjoy the process, that's what I like most about watercolor. I work mainly in the wet technique, because that's how watercolor shows its maximum potential. The result is always unpredictable, because the watercolor does half of the work and I like that bit of uncertainty that I can't change. I complete the painting and the painting completes me. The granularity of the pigments, the undertones, the airiness - that's why I love watercolor. I really like to experiment and paint not only with traditional watercolor tools such as brushes, but also with bags, napkins, sponges, etc. I like to paint on large formats as I feel more free to do so. The main idea of my art is to give people an opportunity to understand themselves and their attitude by looking at familiar things, to discover simple things anew. I draw on free subject matter, it's more important for me to feel what I want to depict, whether it's an apple or a street in Italy. I'm interested in exploring color combinations and their effect on people in my work. I try to capture the essence of what is being portrayed without being too detailed, leaving the viewer free to imagine. I'm inspired by the space around me, the way nature and man live together.
