ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This small painting is a simple work of opposites and contrasts. Around a circle and lines, oil pastel and soft pastel, a bold, primary color above soft lines, full of nuances and gradations. In this way, the simplicity of form is brought to life by the intensity of color, the softness of pastel and the beauty of cotton paper. White cotton fringed sheet, approx. 120gsm (Lamali Paris). The pastels used are extra soft pastels à l'écu by Sennelier and Girault and oil sticks by Sennelier. Pastels need to be framed under glass for better conservation.

TR is a French artist based in south-west France. Passionate about colours and materials, she is constantly learning and making discoveries. She mixes techniques, favouring pastel and acrylic on paper. Her works are mostly abstract, using geometric motifs or motifs derived from observation and a personal interpretation of nature. After studying literature and a career in culture, she now devotes herself almost exclusively to her artistic practice. She loves manipulating pastels, making and unmaking, correcting and starting again. Her creations are both pure and cumulative, and it is in a spontaneous and intuitive way that each of her works is constructed. TR will begin marketing her work in spring 2023.
