Painting: Oil, Charcoal, Chalk, Priming White on Wood, Other.
As a part of my intentions towards artistic research, In my Studio, one year ago, I worked on the depiction of body experience. Of course art is often not about concepts and aims but drifting and in this case the work drifted towards the depiction of -- as I see it -- gardens and feelings.
The work is rather large scaled and heavy, this fits it´s appearance well. Material is good quality 2-cm-MDF treated with three layers of priming white. On the back, wooden lathes provide hanging facilities and grip.
The buyer needs a solid wall and two well fixed screws to hang it, and the help of one or two friends to handle.
By the inevitable, experimental use of of a non-drying painting medium the surface of the painting kept some freshness after 2 years of drying, still, and it may take another couple of years to dry out. The haptic adds to the work's strong, lively appearance and matches it's topic.
Transport, hanging, exhibiting even carful dust removal are no problems.
So, if you decide buying the work, you get it as it is – the oils will finally dry under your very eyes. If your place is near, I gladly put varnish on it afterwards by myself. But you are welcome to do it by yourself or let it be done by a local restorer.
