Fields of flowers in generous tones - freely inspired by the richness of light and historical Japanese landscapes that blend with the abundance of European art. My "Al fresco" technique is inspired by both continents. I make my own colours from natural pigments, used in traditional Japanese techniques, to which I add a modern touch by mixing resin. This gives the paintings density, transparency and great luminosity. The strokes also evoke the brush art of traditional calligraphy, "sweeping away swollen spots of matter like a Zen gardener's rake." My credo: to transmit and provoke an emotion to the spectator. To paint a landscape, not with the colors you can see, but with the colors you can feel.
