ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Sold - private collection, Greenwich, CT I am fascinated by the cool beauty of Sophia Loren, the movie and era she represents. In this painting, I also tried to capture the fleeting sense of her beauty, her looks and sense of luxury. This is one of my celebrity series of 60s to 80s which includes David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Audry Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Tina Turner, Madonna, and others. I started painting 6 years ago when I moved from Switzerland to USA. This is my second career and I dedicated my first career, in the United Nations, to the welfare of children in the world who were enslaved, trafficked, kidnapped… I was fascinated by the power of art to help the former child slaves to express themselves and recover from the living hell. I was also fascinated by faces of unknown people who dedicated their life to the well-being of these children. I want to become an artist who can depict the power, energy and empathy of all these wonderful people who can influence and bring hope and happiness to others and create artwork which has an impact on the world by communicating the beauty of empathy. 25% of the proceed from my art work goes to Save the Children charity.

I am from Japan and I started painting 6 years ago when I moved from Switzerland to USA. This is my second career and I dedicated my first career, in the United Nations, to the welfare of children in the world who were enslaved, trafficked, kidnapped… I was moved by the power of art to help the former child slaves to express themselves and recover from the living hell. I was also touched by faces of unknown people who dedicated their life to the well-being of these children. I am inspired to become an artist who can depict the power, energy and empathy of all these wonderful people who can influence and bring hope and happiness to others and who can create artwork with an impact on the world by communicating the beauty of empathy. 25% of the proceed from my art work goes to Save the Children charity.
