ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Painted on location in Polzeath, Cornwall sitting on the rocks during the high summer neap tide. I wanted to capture the immediacy of the crashing surf and its movement and spray as it leapt up from the rocks using dynamic brush strokes and paint that was splashed and flicked onto the canvas! The work has an inner light and sense of movement that evokes that moment in time.
