ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this abstract in oils on a 24x36 canvas. I wanted something moody and quiet, not unsettling but mysterious, and the lavender and grey brought me in. I added the pinks and white, and then the window of yellow at the top. To read into the painting I added black line work, so that the painting opened to me. The painting extends around the sides of the canvas. It is wired and varnished for hanging.
