Starling Synch Nos.1 and 2 were inspired by my fascination with and exploration of -murmuration- the spontaneous fluid synchronized movements large masses of starling (birds) engage in. It is a captivating and mesmerizing natural phenomenon that I seek to interpret in paint.

I was born in Riverside, California. I’ve lived and worked in various parts of the United States and in Europe. Currently, I reside in Tennessee. I hold an MFA in Costume Design from North Carolina School of the Arts where my artistic career began in theater design and production. Over time, my love of visual art led me to study plein-air painting. This marked a significant transition from theater to a dedicated studio practice. Now, I create both landscapes and abstract paintings from my home art studio.
