Stop and Smell The Rose Painting

My work is conceptual and personal, but universal. I capture those ephemeral moments: the light in a landscape that changes as you blink, flowers that perish as I paint them, fleeting moments that would love to remain in our systems forever. Those memories that change every time they are re-visited. I express emotions, feelings and beliefs in a way that when the viewer interacts with the artwork they find themselves drawn in, longing to belong in the scene. Listening to the specific memory that wants to be recreated, I conjure the setting to create the right atmosphere and add simple cartoon-like figures to express emotions through body language. The result is a mix between traditional oil painting and modern elements of drawing. My work is included in collections in Mexico, United States, Australia and Japan.
