Art Description

Painting: Enamel, Acrylic, Oil, Timber, Engraving on Canvas.

The painting must be seen in the context of its colour uniqueness and orchestration. In a sense, it is a more complex composition. It is tasking in terms of figurine image, as the use of compositional geometric shapes and complex lines are evident in a pictorial structure. It is a rectangular shaped picture composed of series of structural shapes running in vertical, horizontal and even diagonal rhythms across the painting surface. This has come to depend on the skilful use of media (sawdust, white glue and oil colour- materials used in the painting) to underscore this compositional intent.
One can analyze the details, towards the left part of the painting, there is an abstract image of a woman in a typical African village market.
