Este es un cuadro de gran formato donde el protagonismo recae en las manos de un personaje masculino, una representación cruda y expresionista de la opresión y el sufrimiento. Este personaje encarna el peso de la diáspora africana en las Américas, un tema que siempre ha resonado profundamente en mí. A través de esas manos, busco transmitir no solo el dolor, sino también la resistencia y la lucha que forman parte de esa historia. He trabajado cada trazo con espátula, buscando crear texturas que capturen la fisicidad y la dureza de esa realidad. Las manos en primer plano simbolizan la herramienta de trabajo forzado, pero también son el vehículo de la creación, del esfuerzo que no ha sido en vano. Mi intención es que al mirar este cuadro, se sienta el peso de la historia, pero también una profunda humanidad. Quiero que quienes lo contemplen se conecten con la experiencia de aquellos que, pese a la opresión, encontraron la fuerza para resistir y persistir. Esta obra forma parte de mi exploración constante de la figura humana como reflejo de emociones complejas, en este caso, de una herencia que sigue marcando generaciones.

Graduated from the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts in the specialty of painting and a bachelor's degree in artistic education in the specialty of painting from the Enrique José Varona Higher Pedagogical Institute. Since 2005 he has been a specialist in visual arts at the University of Computer Sciences. In 2012 he created the MALATESTA Cultural Project in which the arts are used as a tool for social transformation, always starting from the work and needs of young people. He has developed research work in humanism, colonialism, coloniality, race and racism, cultural identities, etc. He has participated in scientific events, both national and international, personal and group exhibitions and has developed intense social work with MALATESTA in different communities of La Lisa, Bolleros and the UCI university community, achieving regional and national awards and distinctions. He has been a member of the platform of Cuban Men for Non-Violence and Gender Equality since 2014, trained as a popular educator by the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, creator and coordinator of the Butterfly Festival since 2014.
