About The Artwork
This is the ninth in a series of sixteen paintings I made of the Sugarloaf mountain in county Wicklow. The paintings are based on photographs, taken by me, from the same location in the Dublin hills. Trinity College, Dublin, bought numbers twelve and thirteen (two much larger paintings) for the collection.

I graduated with a degree in sculpture from Winchester School of Art in 1992. In 1999 I began painting and had my first solo exhibition in 2002 at Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Dublin. My work is held in numerous private and public collections including Trinity College Dublin and The Office of Public Works (OPW) Ireland. The most recent purchase by the OPW is hanging in the Presidents house (Aras an Uachtarain) in the Phoenix Park, Dublin
