Can be covered with the frame (or not if you like it in an authentic studio style). The artist about this work: "After a longer period of working on smaller works on paper this was one of the first when I changed to large sizes. It was like a liberation to fill a large area with powerful gestures and colors! Then it was easy and difficult at the same time to title this work because it arouses so many associations. A lush meadow full of flowers, blue grapes, wine and berries, hot air, sun. In the end I decided to call it "SUMMER WINE" as this song speaks of many of these things in an enchanted way - and who really knows what can happen in magical summer nights with some summer wine...!?" Daniela Schweinsberg is a representative of the informal, gestural abstraction. Her works are powerful, colorful and challenging for the viewer. Often the gestural moment dominates the entire rhythm of the artwork. She receives inspiration for her works from many different sources - sometimes it is the color or the material itself that appeals to her, but she also processes the most diverse impressions of her environment and nature. Starting from the first idea, the images are then created in an intensive dialogue between the artist and the work. In the process, the image itself, its change, its expression, becomes the determining factor of the painting process, whereby the original idea can also take a back seat. Daniela’s painting process is a mixture of impulsiveness and considered approach. The finished works radiate a great deal of energy, the dynamics and spontaneity of the painting process is transferred to the viewer.

Abstract, Powerful, Gestural - three words to describe my art! Each of my artworks is truly unique and only one of its kind. MY ARTIST STATEMENT "An abstract painting challenges the artist even more, because it’s an act of creation on the artist's own terms." MY INSPIRATION I find my inspirations in colours and materials - for example in a beautiful deep turquoise mountain lake or in the washed-out grey of concrete in a city. Based on such impressions and inspirations I commence my work and my artwork often comes to life in little series. Each painting is unique and the creation and development of each painting can be a time consuming process, usually lasting many days or weeks and in some cases up to a few months. MY TECHNIQUES I appreciate the manual work of building, stretching and priming my own frames. I really get engrossed in this, it’s the first encounter with a new work and a good start for the creative process; me and the canvas did get familiar with each other. My paintings are acrylic mix paintings, for example, acrylic paint with charcoal, oil pastels, pencils, spray paint and many other artistic materials. Sometimes I combine these materials with collage materials. My pieces of art are created informally. Each step builds on the previous step, leaving room for chance but also for corrections and erasures, until the final finished artwork has evolved as a composition of colour, shape, texture and surface. Each piece of art is truly unique and only one of its kind!
